Tell us a bit about yourself

I cherish spending time with my loved ones, engaging in activities such as coffee outings and social gatherings with delicious food and drinks – our shared love is prioritizing and enjoying life and most of all having a good laugh. Professionally, I have been in the disability sector for 18 years, specifically in NDIS for the last decade. I have gained a vast array of experience working in various settings, including prisons, Centrelink, and low-income community centers. I also have previous experience working with the Department of Justice, Department of Families, and a Commission of Inquiry. All these experiences have equipped me with a diverse range of knowledge and skills which I feel fortunate to have and really help in my role.

What drew you to this role at LiveBig?

The rising demand for Allied Health Services under NDIS drew me to this role at LiveBig. I wanted to work for an organisation that provides quality services to meet this demand and one where the team members are energetic and passionate.

What is the most exciting thing happening in the next 6 months?

LiveBig is expanding, which brings new challenges but also new staff members with different skills and knowledge, which will enable us to provide more comprehensive supports for our participants.

What is the best thing about working at LiveBig?

The people! The staff are incredibly supportive, helpful, and friendly. There’s always someone to reach out to, and the team is always encouraged to make time for each other.

Tell us a story where you’ve been proud to help someone

Helping someone always makes me feel good, and I always strive to assist whenever I can – it’s one of the best things about working within the NDIS as it allows me to live this passion.

Thank you Emma for taking the time to share a little bit of your story.
