Maddy shares a strong commitment to improving the lives of participants through evidence-based practices and a person-centred approach. Her expertise encompasses a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, intellectual disabilities, schizophrenia, bipolar and related disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorders. Maddy also specialises in supporting neurodiverse individuals with an affirming approach.
Maddy brings a diverse skill set to our team. She is proficient in various psychological interventions, including cognitive behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, play therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions. Her expertise extends to behaviour support, with skills such as functional behaviour assessment, plan development, and implementation through training and data collection.
With over a year and a half of experience, Maddy has provided psychological and behaviour support services through the NDIS. Her work has involved clients of all ages, where she has created behaviour support plans in line with NDIS guidelines, always with a focus on improving their quality of life. She is experienced in collaborating with individuals, families, support workers, and care teams to understand behaviour expressions and individual needs. Maddy also provides tailored training on positive behaviour support strategies to various stakeholders.
Maddy takes a highly personalised approach to help individuals meet their personal and NDIS goals. Her focus areas include building emotional regulation and coping skills, exploring personal interests, engaging with the community, enhancing independence, motivation, self-care, managing interpersonal relationships, and building new connections.
