Camila C. S.
I am a passionate and experienced Occupational Therapist with over 18 years of clinical practice across a broad range of settings and client groups. I hold a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy, with a specialised focus on child and adolescent mental health in the context of substance use. Throughout my career, I have supported children, adolescents, and adults with diverse support needs, delivering person-centred, evidence-based interventions that promote participation, independence, and quality of life. My experience spans early intervention, paediatrics, mental health, functional capacity assessments, and complex psychosocial disability, enabling me to adopt a holistic approach that considers the individual, their environment, and their goals. I have experience working within mental health services across the lifespan, including supporting individuals experiencing psychosocial disability, complex mental health conditions, and substance use challenges. My practice is informed by a harm reduction framework, recognising the importance of dignity, autonomy, and meaningful engagement in achieving sustainable outcomes.
In addition to my clinical expertise, I provide leadership, mentoring, and clinical supervision to the Occupational Therapy team, supporting professional development while fostering high-quality, person-centred service delivery. I am committed to empowering individuals, families, and support networks to achieve meaningful outcomes and maximise participation in everyday life through compassionate, evidence-based occupational therapy practice.
