Cheryl Prasad is an experienced Speech Pathologist and Team Leader with over 14 years of experience working with children, young adults, and elderly population who present with a wide range of communication and swallowing
difficulties. Cheryl has provided services across diverse settings including hospitals, schools, private practice, and community-based environments. She has extensive experience working independently and within multidisciplinary teams alongside Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Teachers, Doctors, Nurses, and Social Workers to deliver holistic, client-centred care as well as running university placements for Speech Pathology students. Cheryl draws on her specialised skills and current evidence-based practice to work collaboratively with participants, families, carers, and stakeholders to develop individualised therapy plans that support meaningful participation, communication, and quality-of-life outcomes.

As a Team Leader, Cheryl is responsible for supporting Speech Pathologists to achieve successful outcomes for clients and stakeholders through best-practice, evidence-based, and innovative service delivery. She is passionate about mentoring clinicians, building capability within teams, and driving continuous improvement in service quality and clinical outcomes.

  • Paediatric and adult communication disorders.
  • Feeding and swallowing assessment and intervention.
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex communication needs.
  • Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) – inclusive of
  • Australian Sign Language.
  • Neurological rehabilitation, including stroke and Parkinson’s disease.
