I can say the Peter Piper tongue twister really well! 😀

Why did you choose to work in this industry?

I wanted to make a positive impact in people’s lives.

What do you love about your role?

I love meeting new people and enabling them to live their best lives..

What does an average day in your role look like?

An average day for me involves a combination of client home visits, or it can also be at the child’s school or childcare location. It will also include reporting writing, telehealth appointments, some administrative work as well as online Teams meetings with other LiveBig clinicians.

Can you recall a time when you helped make a difference in someone’s life?

I helped to toilet train a 5 year old participant by using bubbles to encourage him to sit on the potty. Gradually I enabled him to get more comfortable sitting on the potty and on a particularly hot summer’s day, after prompting him to drink a lot of water, he finally managed to empty his bladder into the potty! He also did the same in the next session, a lot quicker. His parents were very happy with the progress made. His dad was ‘over the moon’, according to his mother. It’s things like these that can make the world of difference to a participant and I am grateful to be able to play a part in that.
