Inline with our vision to achieve the best outcomes for our clients, LiveBig have expanded our service offerings to complement our current Allied Health team.

What is Positive Behaviour Support?

Positive Behaviour Support is a person-centred approach to support people in reducing the frequency and intensity of behaviours of concern that may lead to reduced quality of life. It may also include the assessment, reduction and elimination of restrictive practices.

Positive Behaviour Support is delivered by a registered behaviour support practitioner.

Who is a Behavioural Support Practitioner?

A behaviour support practitioner is a trained professional, who creates person-centred, tailored strategies that are responsive to the needs of the person with a disability.

Practitioners conduct function based assessments in collaboration with the person and their support team, and develop behaviour support plans that may include strategies to reduce and eliminate restrictive practices.

We work with people of all ages, collaborating with you, your family and your support team to understand your goals. We regularly review progress and assess outcomes, as well as set new objectives along the way.

What Could We Support You With?

  • Assessing behaviours of concern & unmet needs
  • Assessing restrictive practices
  • Training your support team on your needs
  • 1:1 intervention
