In case you are wondering, PACE is short for Participant/Provider Alternative Cloud Environment which sounds too technical for us to remember! What is important to remember is that following extensive testing and preparation, the NDIA will start rolling out PACE across Australia from 30th October 2023. They expect it to take 18 months for all participant plans to move to this new system.

When each participant comes to the next step in their NDIS journey, the NDIS will work with them to make sure they have the support and information they need.

If you are wondering what the new NDIS PACE system means for you, it’s important to know that PACE doesn’t fundamentally change the way the NDIS operates. PACE and the new my NDIS provider portal are designed to be more user-friendly and make it easier for NDIA staff, partners and providers to do their job, giving them more time to deliver a quality experience to participants.

The NDIS has a dedicated website with more information on PACE: improvements.ndis.gov.au where you can find what you want to know, when you need to know it.

Keep an eye out for our LiveBig newsletters for more information on this new system.
